Prestige Motorsports’ custom engines ship in an enclosed crate. The engine is mounted to a steel engine stand and is bolted to the custom-built crate. We use material that is compliant with international export regulations. Each crate will also include the contact information of the customer or receiving agent, a free trade agreement if applicable, and all required shipping declarations.

Additional items and turn-key packages are securely fastened inside the crate with the engine. The additional weight rarely affects shipping costs. Occasionally there are large items that will need to be steel banded to the top of the engine crate. In these cases, the cost may increase slightly due to added volume of the shipment.

The custom-built crate and packaging fees are separate from freight charges. They cover the cost of material and labor to build and pack the crate. Our standard crate size is 48 x 38 x 36 inches. Some supercharged engines require a custom sized crate. In those cases, additional crate fees apply.

Domestic Shipments

Within the continental US, our engines are shipped via truck freight. We can ship directly to your residence, a business, or the freight company’s nearest loading dock for pick-up. Shipping fees will vary depending on geographical location and type of delivery site. A delivery truck with a lift-gate is required unless the delivery location has loading dock access or a fork-lift. Engine hoists or cranes are not acceptable.

Typical freight costs range from $500 to $1,000, although there are fringe locations that will be outside of the typical range.

You also have the option to pick-up your engine at our facility in Concord, North Carolina. Be aware that all shipments picked up at our facility, or shipped to a location within North Carolina, will be charged 7% sales tax.

International Shipments

Shipping rates are to the nearest air or seaport. In most cases, the customer is required to hire a customs agent to handle import taxes, duties, and documentation. Prestige Motorsports does not handle taxes and duties on international shipments and, therefore, cannot estimate the total cost to the customer.

Freight costs to the nearest port typically range from $1,000 to $2,000 for sea and $3,000 and up for air. This does not include any import taxes, duties, or agent fees. Shipments to Canada and Mexico are typically on the ground via truck freight with a wide range of cost depending on geographical location.

There are also several exporting agents within the USA that may service your country. If you choose to use an exporting agent, we handle the shipment as a domestic shipment to the exporting agent’s port.

Only original invoices from Prestige Motorsports will be provided for each shipment. Modifying or providing secondary invoices to avoid certain taxes or duties goes against our core values and will not be provided. NO EXCEPTIONS!
