"If the website isn't concise enough...the information I got from Mark was detailed beyond imagination. I couldn't be happier." - Don G.
Don's '68 Mustang build with our 525HP 427ci Windsor under the hood
Don's car came to us with factory suspension and a tired FE under the hood. This was the perfect candidate for our Ultimate Turn-Key Package install (Engine - Trans - Cooling - Fuel Supply) along with some other work including Wilwood brakes, guages, etc. Just love the way she turned out and we think Don is pretty pumped about it as well.
"About 2 to 3 years ago I started looking for shops locally that could help me with the electrical and the drivetrain," explained Don. "The problems with shops in the Portland area is they're busy all the time and have a feast on custom conversions / hot rods. They make far more money on body work and interiors than they do on powertrains. It's not that they don't do powertrain work but that is definitely not their priorities. So consequently, I couldn't even get the two top shops here to give me the time of day. They would not return my calls, so I went out to their shop and sat in the office and waited to be seen by the owner. I was there for hours...and he wouldn't see me. He knew what I wanted to do because he'd done work on the car before with the previous owner. The problem is that they have so many cars in their queue to do expensive work and then no desire to get involved with my project."

Drop-In-Ready 427 ready to go in
"That's when I started looking online and when it came to power conversions I came across Prestige Motorsports. If the website isn't concise enough, the information I got from Mark was detailed beyond imagination. One year ago, I shipped the car and it was ready to ship back one year later. And that centered around you guys moving your shop so I can imagine the logistical nightmare."
Engine install in progress at the Performance Shop
"Mark kept me up to date on what was going on with the car once the work began right to the point of me showing up, coughing up the final bill and getting it ready to be shipped back. You're two technicians, Chance and Berry, took the time to point out all the things that have been done and I might add it looks spectacular. I couldn't be happier. I'm actually in the process of trying to figure out when I can send it back to have a few more things done on it. I don't drive the car very much but when I do it is not when weather is bad. In Oregon the weather is perfect from late Spring through midfall and the Summer months get little or no rain whatsoever. Not so from late fall through mid spring, especially the winter when it's cloudy 70% of the time and raining about 50% of the time. Perfect time for you guys to have the car to do your magic on the suspension."

"It is really unfortunate there are no speed shops that aren't also custom hot rod shops. I have no idea if they create their own power plants or if they source that out to companies such as yours."
"I do show the car at local shows. It would be nice to have some printed material from your shop that I can laminate in plastic for people to read at the shows. Maybe a few business cards too and I would be very happy to recommend your shop. One would just think of Oregon to North Carolina might seem a little unusual but in the scheme of things it's absolutely no effort whatsoever. Especially considering the wait time is less. Shipping was a breeze. Mark made the arrangements and they came right to my neighborhood and picked it up. I'm anticipating the same thing on return."

"I hope my info gives a clear idea why I went to extraordinary lengths to get what I needed done, with perfection I might add. I'm looking forward to getting my baby back. My adult son is driving me crazy about it. He's a collector, constantly surfing the auctions for deals. My 2-year-old boxer however, not so much. The "noise" scares him and refuses to go near it. Otherwise, he goes everywhere with me, not to be left out."
This car was a joy to work on and working with great clients like Don really make the job more enjoyable. Looking forward to seeing and hearing his first reactions when he hits the pedal for the first time. Keep in touch, Don, and let us know when you're ready for that upgraded suspenstion work. We will be here...ready and waiting.
