StayTuned: Weekly Happenings at Prestige Motorsports September 6 2019

It's been another busy week here at Prestige Motorsports coming off the holiday weekend. It could be tough coming back to work after some extra time off, but with resto-mods and stroker engines to be completed, we got straight to it Tuesday morning. The dyno was roaring first thing with a 598 drag engine, and an old-school looking Inglese stack injected build is assembled for a local GT40. Mike's 69 Chevelle gets a brake upgrade in the Performance Shop, and the 75 Ford is back from paint and ready for some new wheels! Check out the images and updates below. Be sure to #StayTuned each week for more happenings at Prestige Motorsports!

Engine Shop:

598 Big-Block Drag Race Combo

Dyno testing this week with a 598ci Big Block Chevy drag racing engine that we are working on for a customer of ours. The engine features Brodix SR20 aluminum cylinder heads, a Jesel belt drive, T&D rockers and a Holley Dominator 1450 carburetor. We won't be able to share the numbers with you on this one at the customer's request, but #StayTuned for future drag combinations becoming available.

363 Ford with Inglese 8-Stacks

We’ve got a pretty cool little setup here on a 363ci small block Ford. A Dart SHP block with the customers own Jim Inglese 8-Stack Injection with FAST EFI system. This is being built for a local Ford GT40 and they are promising to swing by after installation to give us some rides. We will definitely have images and video from that day when it happens so #StayTuned for dyno results on this 363 and much more on the install into the GT40.

Performance Shop:

69 Chevelle Power Brake Install

We have a 1969 Chevelle in our shop this week getting a brake upgrade. The manual drum brakes are coming off the front to make room for a set of 12” Wilwood discs and power brake conversion from Master Power Brakes. This beautiful muscle car has been in a friend of the shop's family for over four decades. It doesn’t have any trouble getting up to speed, it just needed some help harnessing it! Give us a call if your hot rod could use this upgrade too. We'd be happy to get your muscle car upgraded!

Custom 64 Galaxie Resto-Mod Gets Tubbed

Major progress continues on our 1964 Ford Galaxie resto-mod as we push forward with the custom interior and rear wheel wells. Lots of work currently on the inner rear wheel wells and making room for the extra wide tires we have planned for the car. We have been fabricating interior trim panels and building trunk interior trim panels as well. We actually had to cut the trunk floor out for clearance for the exhaust system we have planned. On the design and planning side, we established the final design of the interior as well as the paint and body work with the car owner last Friday. Trust us...this is going to be one bad Galaxie!

75 Ford F-150 Looks as Good as it Runs!

Some of you may remember our 1975 Ford F-150, 521 Big Block build. It's back from paint with all the chrome installed. This father-son project has been in the family since it was purchased straight from the dealership. They wanted it restored to its original look, but stroked the orginal 460 big-block into a 521ci pumping out 550HP! Currently getting some custom wheels for the extra-wides on the back and wrapping up some electrical. You won't want to miss the final product, so #staytuned for much more on this classic Ford.
